Rose Tyler, Bad Wolf of Earth. We could tear this universe apart.
She’s stranded in Pete’s World, looking for her Doctor, when he comes to her.
There is a green and gold light, cracking through the sky and shooting down and Rose is sent by Torchwood to investigate.
When she finds him, he is broken. His body is torn, his teeth bloodied and he is bitter—so bitter. He won’t talk to her, won’t answer her questions, and he certainly won’t have her feeling sorry for him. He is a god, after all. He pulls no faces (except for maybe an eyebrow twitch) at the gravity of his injuries. He snaps at her. But eventually he tells her his name.
Loki, he says. Loki Odins— he cuts off, looking confused. She takes him by the arm and he doesn’t pull away. Instead, she can feel his tenseness loosen, just a little.
She takes him home with her. He won’t be an experiment, a curiosity, a plaything to Torchwood. She won’t let that happen. Because Rose has seen many things in this world (and the next) and she knows when she seems someone who is waiting to be fixed, and Loki is one of them.
She doesn’t press for details. They don’t come easily to him. They don’t talk much at all, but Rose watches the way he inspects her “primitive” kitchen appliances and she admires the way he has gone through almost every book she owns. It reminds her of someone she used to know.
Sometimes she sees his eyes glisten, when he sits on the couch, his body stiff and his hands clasped together. She says nothing, but she sits beside him, so he knows he isn’t alone.
One night, just like every night since he arrived, they are watching the stars, silent and hopeful.
“Sometimes,” he says, “I think you are looking for more than just the constellations.”
Rose looks at him and bits her lip. “I fell,” she says. “I shouldn’t be here.”
He cringes. “No,” he says. “There is something about you, Rose Tyler, that makes me believe you have seen the stars up close as I have, and you have found them terrible and glorious, as I have.” He looks at her, “And one day, you will find your way back to them.”

Recently I’ve seen a few things in the Korra fandom in terms of shipping that refer to Bolin as the ‘nice guy’ or being ‘friendzoned’. At first I ignored it and kind of just rolled my eyes and let it be, but I see it more and more and more. So I kind just wanted to get my…

According to IMDB, the name of Jenna-Louise Coleman’s companion…will let people make their own deductions on this matter!
THEY SAID THEY’D BE FILMING PART OF SEVEN ON BAD WOLF BAY!!!! WHAT IS THIS.
10.2 naming her after his granddaughter then? eeeeeeeeeeeeh?
Only in Doctor Who, you can name your daughter after your granddaughter.
Now that you mention it Jenna-Louise Coleman could totally pass as the daughter of Rose and Ten.
I’m actually kind of excited for this :3
*jaw drops* What. O.O
(okay this is going to either be incrediaby lame or tremendously awesome. Here’s to hoping the later and not the former. :D )

If we know it’s from 500px, the name of it, and the photographer, why are we sourcing it to weheartit.com? It took me less than 2 seconds to find the photograph on 500px.com.
Come on, Tumblr, let’s be more cautious and make sure we give proper credit to these people who gave us the photo (or what have you) in the first place. (I changed the credit to make sure this goes to 500px and not weheartit.com like it was originally stated.)

“Let them have their ticker tape parades, their ‘space races,’ and their commemorative packets of dehydrated ice cream. While Von Braun takes credit for his Redstone bottle rockets, I am finalizing plans for an inter-planetary fleet that could plant an American flag on every rock and pebble in this solar system by the end of the next decade. I will be watching the sunrise from atop the Olympus Mons long before NASA takes their first steps on the moon.”
—Dr. Wilhelm Arkin, in his response to the offer of a position at NASA.

Honestly, all the ‘high end’ mythological beasts have been rather underwhelming. Whether it’s a problem with the special effects budget or not, the fact that you can almost always beat abominations and angels in a fistfight is downright disappointing.
